You will have two full days filling with energy, challenging yourself to explore a physically and mentally tough trip into fabulous and massive Ruc Mon cave system of 13km total length with great combination of jungle trekking, karst mountains, rock climbing, swimming, ethnic minority village experience.
Having only recently opened to the public, so you may discover things no others have seen before, the cave is far away from any touristic hustle, you won’t meet any other tourist during the trip! You will also spend time discovering the local customs and traditions of the Chut people and learn about the hidden cavemen that lived in the cave until it got explored. You will get the best out of the Adventure and Experience tours as well a beautiful sunset and sunrise out of the heart of the Phong Nha- Ke Bang national park. The jungle trek will lead you through authentic farm areas, little village, thick jungle and all set in the beauty of the mountains and the rivers.

Itinerary
Day 1: Phong Nha – Chut village – Ruc Mon dry cave
8:20AM – 9:00 AM: Pick you up from your hotel in Phong Nha and transfer to our Headquarter to get prepared some caving equipment. You can leave your excess luggage there and just take your tour necessities
9:00AM – 9:45 AM: You’ll be driven 30km over the historic Da Deo Mountain Pass. Here you’ll enjoy some breathtaking views looking down into the jungle and get some insight into the history of the area and the mountain range through which you’ll be exploring.
9:45AM – 10:45AM: Keep heading one more hour to get to starting trekking point and your guides will tell you all about the spectacular history of the area and prepare you for the adventures that await you during hour drive.
10:45AM – 11:15AM: Start your adventure tour with hiking through a small mountain to reach the ethnic minority village of Hoa Son (Chut village), where a hot cup of green tea welcomes you and spend some times to get acquainted with ethnic people.
11:15AM – 12:15PM: Keep hiking through peanut & water buffalo fields, river crossing gargantuan entrance of Hang Ruc where a delicious BBQ lunch is waiting for you
12:15PM- 13:00PM: Enjoy a delicious traditional Vietnamese BBQ meal ((vegetarian/vegan option is also available), take a quick rest and get your gear equipment for the adventure ahead
13:00PM – 15:30PM: Spending around 3 hours to exploring hidden marvelous dry part of Ruc Mon cave. There is some couple of safe rope ladders to step up four floors to explore many huge chambers with incredible formations like stalagmites, stalactites, rare stone formations, fossils, see cave pearls, and happily lose yourself in this cave (each rope average of 30m).
15:30PM – Overnight: Once back at the cave entrance , enjoy your downtime relaxing or
swimming in crystal water before a sizzling grilled dinner is served, complete with rice wine
and the sounds of swifts overhead and enjoy an overnight stay there by tent or hammock
Day 2: Ruc Mon cave system – Trung Hoa Vilagge – Phong Nha
8:30AM– 9:00 AM: Wake up for a breakfast with eggs and your choice of bread or noodles.
9:30AM – 13:00 PM: After breakfast and packing up your belongings, it will be a long day spent underground to go through cave with a long section combining walking under frequent scrambles and swimming following current of water. When you get a part of your jorney, you will climb up in a 250m steep scramble up intimidating looking wall of rock to visit the largest cave in Ruc Mon cave system- Mist cave for spectacular formations especially big snake fossils (optional)
13:00PM – 15:00 PM: Enjoy quick lunch before continuing your trip heading to cave exit.

What to bring
- 2 long easy-to-dry pants and 2 long sleeved shirt to wear during the trek
- 1 change of clothes for evening camp
- 1 pair of flip-flop or sandals for the camp
- Personal camping light/torch
- Water proof bag for your phone and camera
- Swim suit
- Travel insurance
- 1 pair of trekking boots/shoes (Good grip and Non waterproof as your feet will completely get wet any-ways).
